September
As meetings start up again and the next year of education begins, we pray for all pupils and teachers, and all opportunities ahead for us, as the Autumn Term begins.
Autumn
Creator God, as we see the beauty of the colours of autumn all around us now, we give you thanks for the seasons we cherish and enjoy: especially the changing scenery of autumn, the crisp piles of leaves we see, the coldness of the air, and the nights drawing in.
Serving Others for God
Loving Lord, you love us so much and help us to love one another. As we spend time discerning the best ways we can serve you by serving others, in our worship and meetings this autumn, help us to be ready and willing to do what we can for you.
Family Fun Day and Harvest
In preparing to welcome people to Church, as part of our Harvest celebration weekend, may we know deep in our hearts why it is so important to ‘walk’ the journey with people, and show God’s love in all we say and do. May this whole weekend be glorifying to God. In celebrating the goodness all around us – all we have, all we can share, all available to us – let us give thanks and offer to God what is His. May the gifts we give to the Basement Project in Bromsgrove and to Operation Agri, be of great use and blessings to those in need, we pray.
Gifts and Abilities
Lord, we name before you the gifts and abilities we ourselves have, and give you thanks for them. We name, too, those people we know who are gifted and indeed share their gifts within their lives, which bring you glory.
Come to Church Sunday
May ‘The Big Welcome’ for all those we have invited and welcomed through our doors, be the chance for them to experience God and to get to know Him more. May this day be the start of a new journey for many people.
Psalm 24: 1
‘The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it.’
